Core Kitchen Mission

We LOVE to eat. And this makes sense– after all we have to eat to survive! But food can be so much more than a means to a biological end.

That said, there are a few barriers to enjoying food and the process of cooking itself. If you are dealing with food allergies or sensitivities, the joy of cooking and eating can be dimmed by the cost and availability of specialty ingredients, as well the fear of accidentally ingesting something that’s going to ruin your night if not your week. If you add in that working with these ingredients requires a bit of practice and skill (gluten free flour does NOT behave like regular flour) then cooking can become a minefield rather than a fun experience. It’s simply easier to order in!

I have been gluten free for 8 years now and my mission in publishing this cooking blog is to find a way to adapt my families recipes that have been passed along from great grandma, to grandma, to mother and finally to me, to the gluten free lifestyle, so that I can still enjoy the taste of home–and so can you. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
